I'm the Boss of Me


"Hungry" seems to be my companion these days. I choose to ignore it. It's not contsant. It's my tool, not the other way around. I'm trying to only respond to physically hungry, not emotionally hungry or stressed hungry or socially hungry, and then, with wisdom. I am not my stomach, but I will be if I don't choose to be the boss of me.

  1. I just want to let you know that after about four weeks the hunger pangs start to go away. It's those first four weeks that are the toughest with feeling hungry all the time.

    Also, the Special K meal bars and protein water really helped me during that phase because they're low in calories, low in fat, high in protein and fiber (so you feel full longer), and they're a nice "treat" that's okay to eat.

  3. Thanks Jenni. Your support means a lot. This is something I'm not talking about anywhere but here. I need it to not be all of my life. I will definitely try the protein water. I didn't like the Special K bars, but I do like the EAS ones.
